Asst. Prof. Dr. Berrak YETİMLER

She got her bachelor's degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Biology. She received her master's degree at METU Biology Department in the field of neuroscience, on the relationship between brain fatty acids and learning and memory in mice. She completed her PhD at the Department of Neuroscience, Institute of Experimental Medicine, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. The main focus of her studies was the neuroimmunological correlates of neurological diseases. Later on, she studied the effects of sound waves on the stress system at McGill University (Montreal, Canada) and the International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research (BRAMS), with the TÜBİTAK 2219 program. In March 2025, she joined the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Abdullah Gül University. In her future studies, she aims to conduct interdisciplinary research on the molecular, biochemical and behavioral correlates of neurological and psychiatric syndromes.
